On Saturday, June 14, IECOC hosted it’s annual mid-Sha’baan celebration of the birth of Imam al-Mahdi (aj). The theme for this year’s celebration was entitled “Envisioning a World of Justice,” and included inspirational presentations by Imam al-Qazwini, brother Salam al-Marayati (Muslim Public Affairs Council), and the youth.
The full-house event also featured an awards ceremony, where Outstanding Community Service Awards were presented to the honorable community members: Sr. Annette Issa, Sr. Azam Shapouri, Dr. Mehdi Taghiei, Br. Mohammad Sabzerou, Br. Salam al-Marayati, Sr. Rabab Issa, and Sr. Shourouq al-Fartoussi Routher. IECOC thanks all of our community members for their dedication and service.
