On Wednesday, February 1st, a press conference was held in Los Angeles to show support and solidarity with the Muslim community in the face of the recent executive order. It was initiated by Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, with the participation of other council members, the city attorney, and the mayor, Eric Garcetti. The conference was hosted by ICSC in conjunction with MPAC. Imam Qazwini, president of the Shia Muslim Council of Southern California, also participated in this event.
