The Islamic Educational Center of Orange County strongly condemns the latest terrorist attacks in Spain, which resulted in the tragic loss of life and injury of dozens of innocent people in Barcelona and Cambrils.
The Quran and Islamic tradition teaches the sanctity of human life and calls for its preservation. Every human being, despite his/her religious, racial, national, or any other affiliation, is honored in the eyes of God.
We grieve with our brothers and sisters in Spain and around the world. We call for the swift and full accountability of the perpetrators of these crimes. We pray that God bestows peace and strength upon the families and friends of the victims and a full recovery upon the injured.
