On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Imam Sayed Moustafa al-Qazwini was invited by the Costa Mesa City Council to begin the City Council Meeting with a Moment of Solemn Expression. For the first time in the city of Costa Mesa, an Islamic prayer initiated the City Council Meeting. During his prayer, Imam al-Qazwini prayed for the city of Costa Mesa and its surroundings, and reminded officials and those in attendance of the important role of cooperation between all members of the community to provide safety, justice, and prosperity for all.
