IECOC nightly programs will begin on Tuesday, June 7th, and continue throughout the holy month. Programs will begin one hour before Maghrib with Qur’an recitation, followed by congregational prayers, Iftar, Dua Iftitah, and a lecture by Dr. Sayed Mostafa al-Qazwini. All are encouraged to attend and benefit from these programs.
The month of Ramadan is a time of spiritual awakening and nourishment, establishing a sense of religious fellowship and community, seeking forgiveness, and remembering the less fortunate. Today, the global Muslim community faces many challenges including poverty, oppression, and conflict. Thus, it is our responsibility to not only strengthen our local communities, but also to remember the international Muslim community and to keep them in our prayers and thoughts. We ask Allah to make this a blessed month for all, filled with spiritual unity, forgiveness, charity, worship, and mercy.
The IECOC will send out an official announcement for the first of Ramadan based on the sighting of the moon. Please check for our e-mail!
