Mark your calendars for the upcoming Arba’een program at the IECOC on October 17th, 18th, and 19th, beginning at 7pm with Maghrib prayers.

Please note that on Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th, the program will be in English. On Saturday the 19th, the program will be in Arabic.

The Arba’een marks the 40th day after Ashura, where Imam Zaynul Abideen (as), Lady Zaynab (as), and the family members that survived came back to Karbala to pay tribute to Imam Husayn (as) and his martyred family members and companions. Every year, millions of people walk to the shrine of Imam Husayn (as) from many miles away to pay tribute and honor the sacrifice they made for Islam.
