On behalf of the ARK Academy Board of Directors, we would like to extend our utmost gratitude for the unwavering support in all our efforts. We are filled with gratitude and hope, reflecting on the immense encouragement and dedication you have all shown. While remaining committed to providing updates and leading with transparency, the team would like to share its latest developments.
Current Status
As we await the final approval of our Conditional Use Permit (CUP), the team has used its time to further strengthen its foundation.
By the grace of Allah (swt) and through the generous donations of community members, we held a successful fundraiser this past month of Ramadan. The funds raised are being used towards renovations, to procure various municipal and state licenses/approvals, and overall enhance the facility, ensuring it meets the highest standard of safety and excellence. We have been fortunate to receive service donations from several members of our community who have provided their resources free of charge. The widespread community engagement and effort has been a testament to our strong bond, and we are excited to continue on this journey in unison.
Looking Ahead
Expecting positive news from the City of Irvine, we anticipate receiving an important update regarding our application status in mid-July, and CUP approval in the following months. As a result, Kindergarten and Elementary School programs are now scheduled to commence September 2025. The Preschool program will open upon CUP approval and once remodeling is complete.
We understand that the delay may be disappointing to some, but rest assured the team is working diligently to ensure that the ARK Academy vision comes to reality. We remain confident that our school will be a best-in-class institution for the growing Muslim community.
Survey Request
At this time, we are exploring alternative options for utilizing our school building. One of the options is an after-school program to provide enriching opportunities for our lifelong learners. To ensure this program aligns with the needs and interests of the community, we have launched a survey aimed at gathering insight and gauging collective interest. Your participation is vital in this, as input received will guide the direction and content of our efforts, and we look forward to your response.
