Nadia Bazzy Completed her undergraduate work in Political Science and English on a full scholarship
to the University of Michigan Dearborn. Nadia worked as an Educator at the Arab American National Museum,
then pursed a master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding with a concentration in
Psycho-Social Recovery from Eastern Mennonite University.
Nadia then interned for the Peacebuilding Initiative which is housed at the Humanitarian Policy
and Conflict Research (HPCR) at Harvard and in partnership with the United NationsPeacebuilding Support Office.
She supported the development of an online encyclopedia of Peacebuilding in the Psycho-social recovery subsection.
Nadia went on to complete a post graduate degree from Oakland University in Couple and Family Counseling,
and is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT).
Nadia sees clients at her private practice; Family and Couple Therapy Center LLC in Novi, MI.
In addition she works as a therapist for a domestic violence intervention program.
Nadia has lectured nationally across the country on various subjects including: Relationships, Forgiveness,
Conflict, mental health, the Arab American Experience, Islam, andPeacebuilding.
Nadia sits on the board of the Michigan Round Table for Diversity and Inclusion,
and is an advisory board member for the Michigan Muslim Community Council,
and continues to work with many organizations creating programming to foster dialogue
