The Newport-Mesa-Irvine Interfaith Council held its annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 22, at 7 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 5353 Bryan Avenue, Irvine, CA 92620.
Imam Sayed Moustafa al-Qazwini joined the interfaith community, religious and civic leaders, including Irvine city Mayor Dr. Steven Choi, in the event held under the theme “The Many Ways We Pray and Give Thanks.” During his presentation, Imam al-Qazwini stressed the importance of coming together in solidarity to face the challenges of religious extremism and using God’s blessings in contributing to a better world.
