On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, Imam Sayed Moustafa al-Qazwini was invited to Costa Mesa City Hall to lead the City Council meeting’s Moment of Solemn Expression. In the presence of the Costa Mesa Mayor Stephen Mensinger as well as other city council representatives and community members, Imam al-Qazwini reminded the audience of the beauty of American pluralism and diversity. He emphasized the need for all Americans to join together as one community to stand up against extremism, terrorism, bigotry, racism, and intolerance, and to promote humanity, goodness, and respect for all.
