Muharram programs continue nightly at the IECOC with Dr. Hasnain Walji speaking in English, and Drs. Fred Sahafi and Mehdi Taghiei speaking in Farsi. The first program was held on Sunday evening, coinciding with the first of Muharram, which was Monday, October 3rd.
Wednesday, October 12th will be the day of Ashura. Every night the program begins with maghrib prayers and concludes with lamentation.
