On Thursday, August 9th at 7 pm, the IECOC will host the honorable Haj Tallal Alie Turfe to present his latest publication, Awaken the Pure Heart.
Haj Tallal is a retired automotive executive, part-time professor, and prolific author of seven books, all on various Islamic and social topics. He has served on any boards in education, healthcare, humanitarian, and social services. He has received many awards for his humanitarian endeavors, including the Knight of Charity Award by the Vatican’s Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions.
In his latest book, Awaken the Pure Heart, Haj Tallal describes the heart as the spiritual control center of life, and how we may look to the Qur’an as a healing source.
