Marriage Solemnization

IECOC can assist you in facilitating your Islamic marriage solemnization. Please call (714) 432-0060 for an appointment.

The following are the requirements needed to perform the Islamic marriage solemnization by the IECOC:

  • Both the bride and groom must be Muslim.
  • Presence of the bride and groom along with valid photo identification.
  • The approval of the bride’s father/guardian (for first-time marriage).
  • Bring a copy of the CIVIL MARRIAGE LICENSE.
  • Done in the presence of two witnesses (IECOC can provide witnesses).
  • Print, fill (EXCEPT for signature) the Islamic Marriage Contract form and bring it to the appointment. (Click here for Islamic marriage contract form)
  • Payment of fee.

Matrimonial Matchmaking

Currently, the IECOC is working with Meet The One, the premier Islamic matchmaking service in Southern California, ran by our own professional community members. The service is meant to provide access to Muslim candidates who are seeking a spouse. Services are professional, discreet, and well-organized.

Divorce

The following are the requirements needed to complete an Islamic Divorce Contract by Islamic Educational Center of Orange County:

  1. The presence of the Wife and Husband along with valid photo identification.
  2. In order for the Islamic divorce to be initiated, the following must be observed:
    1. The Islamic divorce should take place after the wife’s menstrual cycle ends.
    2. If the husband and wife recently have been physically intimate, then the wife must wait until her next menstrual cycle ends.
  3. A copy of the State Civil Divorce.
  4. Please call the center for an appointment. A fee is required for the Divorce Contract.

Funeral, Burial, and Memorial Services

 

The IECOC is here to assist you with funeral and burial services for your loved ones. Please call to reserve the mosque if you are seeking funeral or memorial services.

 

The Muslim Burial Organization of Los Angeles is a non-profit organization run by a group of well-trained volunteers that can help the family with the essentials of performing ghusl (washing), providing kafan (shrouding), arranging for Janaza (funeral) Prayer, and burial. They can also assist in obtaining the death certificate, arranging for the transportation, and other related issues.

Counseling

We provide personal counseling for a variety of situations. The sessions are held privately with the imam at the IECOC.  Please call the center at (714) 432-0060 for an appointment.
